Our chapter participates in business-related competitions, hosts leadership and career-building workshops, attends state and national conferences, and provides community service opportunities.

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is a national student organization that prepares students for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and networking opportunities.

Members gain valuable experience in leadership, networking, and communication. FBLA also strengthens college applications and resumes through achievements and involvement.

Yes. 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students must meet one of the following requirements to be eligible: Have completed a business course OR Be currently enrolled in a business course If you're a 9th grader, you're still eligible to join as long as you plan to take a business course next school year.

The National Leadership Conference is the highest level of competition. Members who place at State can attend NLC, held in a different U.S. city each summer. Students compete against the best in the country and attend national workshops, networking events, and awards ceremonies.

Events include tests, presentations, role-plays, reports, and live demonstrations in areas like marketing, finance, business law, coding, public speaking, and more.

Area is the first level of FBLA competition. All members are eligible to compete in an individual or team event. Those who place 5th place and above at Area qualify for the State Leadership Conference. It’s a great opportunity to gain experience and meet FBLA members from other schools.

Members who qualify at Area can compete at the State Leadership Conference, usually held in a major Texas city. At SLC, students present to judges, take exams, and participate in workshops. Top 4 in each event earn a spot at Nationals.
